Omnidog colab feels the force
Two leading artists form the Omnidog rebellion are commencing battle for a remix comp with a Star Wars flavour. Drum and bass supremo Empire Rising and Jedi warrior BozzaDog have submitted a remix for a Radikal Guru competition for the Star Wars themed 'Empire Dub'.
"Yes we know the Empire thing is confusing...' says Empire Rising. "My name is 'Empire Rising', the track is called 'Empire Dub' it uses the John Williams score 'March of The Empire' from the film 'The Empire Strikes Back' and we have called our remix 'Empire Dog' because it is me and BozzaDog."
The two padawans are hoping these coincidences will give them the edge over the 85 other entries. Their USP is that the track fuses BozzaDog's old school ambient dub flavours with irresistible drum and bass drops that blast you into the future.
"I can't believe I got to work with Empire...He is a total master at the new school dance floor drop. It makes me feel twice his age, but hopefully some of my mature breaks help the track stand out."
The Empire Dog remix for Radical Guru's Empire Dub is available now on Soundcloud and judging finishes on 25th January 2017.
